... We were told no photos and to be quiet, which we were, but that was not good enough for some of the monks/priests/people in the church and we were told to leave. A few spots of rain drove us into the souvenir shops and then into the arms of a coffe and a hot chocolate.

We returned to our hotel, which is a converted monastery for our single night in Assisi.

We had a lovely meal of pasta, pork and strudel. Tomorrow the prize of Venice ...

I had met a girl who was going to the same place as I. She told me a bus came to the station and would take us to the ferry terminal. I was happy about this, but concerned for my luggage.

After Valfabricca we cozied up in a quiet room of the Hotel Umbria for a few days of decompression. Our arrival in Perugia was welcomed by an escalator ride through what appeared on the face to be a medieval dungeon.
