By the time we reached Venice again the weather had turned sour and we were drenched. Our gondola ride was just not going to be a reality. We decided to call it a day and headed back for the train. However I suspect this fourth-floor apartment is a double, occupying the whole top floor, and we have a view on three sides in this ...
... quiet ally way where we just sat on the edge of the canal eating our wraps watching the gondolas go past. It was the perfect end to a stressful day and so romantic in the meantime.
The next morning we got nice and early to make the most of the day and to beat the midday hear. We didn't have the best of sleeps because we just had the one fan between us. After having a cold shower and breakfast we headed back to San Marco square to head up the Campanile ...
