... car park up the side of one of the mountains outside Saviese. We follow a sign towards Torrent Neuf and this leads us along a track beside the man made waterway. Eventually this leads to s cafe which is the official start of the walk. The girls are very apprehensive . Anyhow off we go. The track starts out walking through the Forrest without any views. Then it appears. We are walking the track literally on the side of the mountain. We ...

We leave for Sion today in the Swiss Alps. We are staying in a small alpine village called Nax which is high in the hillside overlooking Sion and the surrounding areas. Steve is today's driver but an hour of so into the trip he has a coughing attack and Russell takes the wheel. We sang smoke on the water by deep purple as we drove into montreux, I'm sure it's the most immediately recognizable way to tell if someone is a tourist here. We read, watched movies, walked a little bit before freezing ourselves, and watched more tv ...

... we walked down to see the sunset over the lake. I don't think I can put into words how relaxed and beautiful Montreux was. You'll have to look at the pictures and maybe one day go and see for yourself! We've changed our plans slightly for the next few days, taking a long train ride to Munich, which is Ryan's favourite city, that if we didn't get to now we would not have got to at all. So the next two nights for us will be filled with pork knuckle, sausages, beer and wine ...

... it in it's entirety in a cloud, sense. Once the view disappeared we headed down from the point to see the marmots (adorable groundhog like things). On our way down we ran into two other couples, both from the US. The first couple was a cute older couple from Illinois and the second a middle aged couple from Texas, but moved to Georgia (they noticed my A&M rain jacket). We talked briefly with them (all seemed surprised we had hiked it). After we used the restrooms ...
