    ... ht down for a 1000 meter
    vertical descent. Eina. Sore knees and toes were in order and to round it all
    off the path was full of stinging nettles and the temperature must have been
    close to 30 degrees. Oh well, one has to do these things as well in order to
    appreciate life to the full.

    So at last, back to our “house on wheels” and off to our
    camp where we washed away our aches and pains with a few cold ones and a Swiss “Boerie”
    braai.

    Our last day in Lauterbrunnen was probably the best day we had seen in a while! We were annoyed that the day we had to leave was going to be a great day for sight seeing but we had a day of travelling ahead of us. We left Lauterbrunnen in the morning and made our way to Interlaken to pick up the hire car we had reserved for our journey to Montreux.

    ... though once again a large chunk of it was done in the rain. I stayed at the youth hostel for two nights to enable me to take a side-trip to a neighbouring town to collect my guidebooks from the local post office.
