... serves excellent ones. Had a good laugh there tonight with an Argentinian couple and we were smiling at a guy at the bar getting steadily drunk until he was hauled away by his wife/girlfriend.

Food and drink here are very good value with a caprinha working out at around 3 and a good main course at a restaurant around 10-15.

I never get comments on my eyes back in the US, but here it is fairly common. I think ...

A travel blog entry by incrediblelife on Feb 20, 2007

So it is Carnaval time, and that means no sleep. It has been a crazy few days, and even crazier nights... very little sleep is taking place amongst all the hostel guests. Its turned out to be a really cool group of people here, and since we are all locked into the 7 day Carnaval package, weve all gotten to know each other pretty well. It is nice to have the same people around instead of new people every day. So heres a quick run ...

    Rio de Janiero No. 2

A travel blog entry by fatman78 on Nov 21, 2006

Having had so much fun at the hostel we decided to splurge a bit and stay in a decent hotel just off Copacabana beach. Almost the best decision of the trip so far. Rio is world renowned for being one of the most dangerous cities on the planet, so it is never a relaxing thing to walk around town, but at least we felt safe in the hotel. We managed to do all the tourist things...a tour of the favelas (or slums), the ...
