Today we woke early to have breakfast before our taxi came to take us to the train station. We were running a tad late due to the overly relaxed concierge and when we arrived at the station were in trouble for being only 2 mins early for the bus. To add to the pressure we had to pay the taxi driver the fee of €25 which would have been fine if we had the cash or had time to go to the ATM. After waiting in line for 1h staring at this gigantic building and listening to the Christmas carols (I think they are dragging the celebrations out a tad too long) the anticipation was building. There is no other word to say it...this Basilica was beyond WOW!!! Made entirely of marble with beautiful statues, artwork and all the ...
