... sit and read for a bit with my feet in the water. The water was quite warm so took the plunge and went for a swim - it was really nice and warm. The only down side was that there was a lot of rocks that you had to walk over to get into the water. Sat on the edge and read for a while and then it was back to the boat for dinner. 14th July

We leave Rome early, touch down in Split, pick up the hire car and drive to the port to board the ferry to Hvar. Ferry arrives in Hvar and we drive to our accommodation. We are warmly welcomed by Andro and his extended family with food and drink, a very hospitable welcome, he also proceeds to give us a good lay of the island.

We duck out and get some groceries for dinner at home, as everyone's exhausted.

The ferry men were getting very angry with everyone, as there were cars parked right at the back, that should be driving in first and, those that needed to park last, right at the front of the ship.
