... the different regions of Croatia: Istria, Slavonija, Dalmatia, etc. We walked down the centre street in the palace and came upon our destination, Pizzeria Portas and ordered an Ozusjko radler and Tomislav beer respectively. We also ordered the fisherman's meal to start (arugula, anchovies, shrimp, onions, and tomatoes), which Bruno had told us was a traditional dish. We even ate it with Croatian olive oil and wine vinegar while dipping our bread. He would ...

... there just seemed to be no hotels. I again went into the satnav and looked for another hotel and sure enough I found one that sounded good. Strange thing was it was saying the hotel was only 150m away but would take 5 minutes to get there. I was now getting ...

Hvar town itself is no longer the undiscovered gem of the Adriatic, overrun by cruise liners and tourists, ...

... up to Zagreb. We knew that these few days were going to be travel-centric, but that was the price we were happy to pay to get an extra night in Hvar. It is still pretty and nice to remind yourself that you are traveling through Croatia. Just a bit tiring! Not zombified-tired but I’m-happy-to-sit-in-a-cafe-drinki ng-coffee-tired.

As we make our way out of Croatia we have a list of places that we would like to come back and visit. Next time :-)

... quite cool, and despite being keen, a bit cold for us to venture in.
Peter thinks we rode about 12kms around the national park and then also around town a bit.The scenery is lovely.
We noticed how tall and fine looking the young men are, and how the young women have real style.
Luckily we ventured into the medieval old town built inside a former Roman imperial ...
