... late October. Tomorrow, we head to San Gimignano in the heart of Tuscany. Only an hour south of Florence, we will be spending the next week there as a base to explore the region and its bounty. Weather is predicted to be sunny and low 70s, we are truly blessed.
While Halloween is not celebrated here, for all those following us in the USA, Happy Halloween!
... should be interesting. In Europe, the big news is still the thousands of immigrants heading Europe but finding the pathways cut off. Many countries are building extensive fences to halt to flow. Largest immigration since World War II. Winter will be harsh for many here.

... includes two small port towns of San Stefano and Ercole. Unlike the tight narrow roads of Amalfi, the roads are wide enough to do some touring.
We enjoyed a burgandy beef with gnocchi and some Tuscano red for dinner tonight. Simple but comforting. Comfort food for road weary travelers.

... through the area. Kory agreed. We pushed our bikes through the sandy trails and found ourselves at the ocean where we spent the day in our swimsuit lounging in the sun reading and napping. Evening rolled around quickly, we found a hidden flat spot in the bushes that was a bit tight for space but we made it work.
