After 14 lovely days on Scarabeo Camping with some great friends we were recommended to Rosacambra Restaurant for a typical Sicilian meal, it didn't disappoint in any way! Sicilian food, wine, great company Achim, Nicole, Mark and some group blowing..! You can safely say we all left the restaurant stuffed full of Sicilian food that every bend and bump in the road home was met by groans of stomach ...

... have everything from your choice of eggs, yoghurt, fresh fruit (platters of passion fruit), croissants, etc etc! Lunch if you're on board is equally amazing with today being a smorgasbord through the galley - seafood, pork, beef, sushi. Just everything imaginable. Siracuse has a Greek history, was founded in 733 BC and rose to become a great Mediterranean power by 415 BC. We were there for such a short time we passed by the Temple di Apollo, oldest and most unkempt temple we have happened on, and did lose ourselves in the maze of streets behind the temple, not intentionally.

... A huge modern church modelled on the shape of a teardrop. It houses a statue of the Virgin Mary that allegedly wept for five days in 1953 and bestowed more than 300 miraculous cures. When they were excavating to build the church they came across ancient ruins of an old church, apparently from when St John was in Syracuse. The modern church was built leaving the ruins in the crypt of the church. A very moving experience for us ...
