The main building of this Hotel is over a century old. Our room is in another, modern building at the back, although the architecture is sympathetic to the environs.
Staff are friendly and helpful. There is a resort out of town which is apparently very luxurious. For us, the centre of this lovely place suits us.

... about how and who created them, but nobody knows. The most plausible theory our guide told us was that they were used for decomposing bodies, and the bones were then buried in the ground outside the jars, of which UNESCO has found evidence. There is also a large cave that was used as a hospital during the secret war, Viet Cong army trenches and several bomb craters. UNESCO and MAG, an ordnance removal expert organisation, cleared about 1,500 bombs from the sites before they ...

... a lady with a little kitchen and some tables next to the market. Hungry we sat down and she started making some noodle dish with veg. There was no menu. Some meat went into this dish but was unrecognisable. Then we saw the dead squirrel on the table next to us. I am 99% sure we had squirrel noodle soup for lunch. Doesn't really taste of much if I'm honest. I think we just got a bit carried away on the success of arriving in the middle if nowhere.
After that we headed back ...
