... you can see 30 or 40 K ahead down a road that is perfectly straight and flat - it was hard not to do 180 K on that kind of a road... Steep cliffs beside the roads and no guard rails - probably would not do much good anyway...

3rd largest city in Mexico. Surrounded by a great scenery of mountains. The city itself is like any other big Mexican City. We did not get to do the canoeing with 27 drops with the larges exceeding 30 feet because we both did not feel well and wanted to stay close to the bathroom. The trip goes for 6 hours and this would have definitely been a disaster with the two of us in a canoe.

Cozumel ist eine Insel vor Cancun. 50 km lang und 8 km breit. Hier legen viele Kreuzfahrtschiffe insbesondere aus den USA an und dementsprechend gut ist auch die touristische Infrastruktur ausgebaut. Vom Preisniveau bewegt man sich schon 25% über dem Festland, was aber immer noch erträglich ist. Benzin kostet ja in Mexiko überall gleich viel und so ist man bei derzeitigem Wechselkurs mit 57cent ...
