Split photos here:
http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=1 59738&id=613699523&l=b42d256b69

Caught bus from Plitvice Jezera to Split and got in about 7pm. Found Situs Hostel no problem (once we actually followed the instructions properly) and it's a really cool, clean, nice small hostel. Peter was really helpful in pointing out things to do and see and eat. Peter's mum was awesome too making us coffee in the ...
Split, Croatia richlum... it was the perfect time to be sick. We just watched movies on his laptop, American shows on the TV with 2 channels (Friends, Xena Warrior Princess…), cooked, and played Chess on our mini travel set. Overall, it was nice to relax but I know I started feeling a little bored.

Saturday came around and the storm was clearing (only a little bit of rain and clouds that morning). We then hopped on a ferry to another island, called Korcula.
Hvar, Hvar Island, Croatia mdaaAfter we left the park, the drive down to where we are now was spectacular, although a bit different than I pictured Croatia to be-it is a lot rockier and a bit more like what we thought Greece would be like. Our second campsite was just before the town of Zadar in a town called Nin; we pulled in and this funny little man came up to us-there was no way we could say no to his smiling face even if the campsite was horrible! Luckily ...
Seget Vranjica, Splitsko-Dalmatinska, Croatia armajor7... set into the sea.

Well those were the towns and lets just say that Croatia is a beautiful country. Many a time it was I could take a photo of this and that (which I did) and just having heaps of fun. Made a heap of friends who luckily live in London so there will be plenty of catchup drinks in the near future.

Sail Croatia .... do it .... hell yes ... but maybe about 2 months earlier, so that when you swim it will because it is damn hot and not just because you felt obliged.
Split, Croatia davechowie... little lunch at a cafe behind the beach. loren opted to go for the rizotto, which made his post lunch tanning session even lazier than the pre.

that night we decided to change up our eating habits a little bit, opting for the late 4 o´clock sandwich snack slash dinner, followed by a solid couple hours of cocktails and then a proper supper a bit later, around 9ish. throughout our european travels, this system ...
Hvar, Hvar Island, Croatia lkandmax... offshore islands amidst the sparkling blue sea. Sitting upon the mountains that rise adjacent to the water we were in awe at the beauty of Croatia's endless coast. After two hours of jaw gaping scenery we decided to head inland for the motorway (if we didn't the trip would take an extra 5 hours). After paying the toll as we left the motorway we descended down from the moutains we could see the Adriatic and a number of large high rises sprouting on the shore, we were ...
Hvar, Hvar Island, Croatia bradskey69... this as we head back down the island to the Ferry and Dubrovnik. The Croatian coast and the islands are a definite must see when planning a holiday to Europe. Petrol, food and accommodation are cheap. The people are friendly and all speak relatively good English and the landscape and clear blue water is the best I have ever seen. I am already planning my next trip back here as it is the most beautiful holiday destination I have ever been to.
Hvar, Hvar Island, Croatia lisamurphy... other end so we could walk back. Unfortunately so did several hundred other people, and so although the area was beautiful and the lakes amazing, the serenity was spoilt by all the people. And no one checked our tickets at any stage, so we could have done it all for free! After that we headed back to the vans in time for it to heave it down with rain, complete with thunder and lightning, and drove to Split to meet the rest of the group. Our ...
Hvar, Croatia paula_rod... the Adratic sea and beautiful sandstone buildings with red tiled roofs dotting the hills filled with olive trees and budding lavender bushes. I am in Hvar- one of the Dalmatian coasts and Croatia's prettiest islands. To get here to this jewel of the Adriatic we had to catch the overnight ferry from Ancona in Italy to Split (Blue line ferries)- the main port of Croatia. That was an experience in itself! Walking up to our booked chair seats (which you can get for half ...
Hvar, Croatia mimmy21... bathroom and cheap only 15 Aussie dollars a night. p We walked into down to the local beach, which was absolutely beautiful and we sat there and enjoyed the sunshine for a few hours. Feeling our hungry we wandered into town to find food, we sat down at a fancy Italian restaurant which was cheap, 8 dollars for pasta. While we were there I received an sms from both Jamie and Stef (Refer to Budapest, Met them caving), that ...
