... was a lot of fun to talk to my tutor and his daughter. I fell asleep and didn't wake up until 10 on thursday. So I just got around, read my book, and stefania and I walked to the grandparents house again for lunch. It was delicious. After that Stefania, her friend, her boyfriend, and I all rode a bus and two subways into the centre of Milan. It was absolutely incredible. It is filled with antique architecture and tons of shops. We came home late so ...

In a nutshell- Cousin Corrado took us all over Lake Como, including to the castle where they filmed Casino Royale, and George Clooney's place! He took us up the mountain side. We always thought that we were at the top, but then we went higher! We went for a walk around the area. We went down to S. Segmente for an expresso and then up into the hills. We also went to Lugano Lido where Corrado works in Switzerland for a fun day of swimming. The ...

... of a hill overlooking the lake and the town of Varenna. While it is so beautiful from that vantage point, it turned out feeling inconvenient most of the time. The reviews I read said, just a 15 minute walk into town. They didn't mention that it's a STEEP rocky descent that feels endless on a rocky pebbly road. No footing ever felt sure to me, on the way down. I didn't like that route so we decided to take the 'other route' on the back of the property which was closer to the ...

Buongiorno!! Up earlyish for breakfast at about 8am. Simple but nice. Then back to room to get ready quickly for the day. Brad and I set off together for the Metro and parted ways at Zara station. Brad off to Monza and me a day of sightseeing. Had planned the night before so sort of knew where to go. Not too nervous. First stop Duomo. Got there easily. Out of metro station and it was right in front of me. Amazing. Beautiful ...

Lucky the scenery was so stunning on the way to Lake Como, Italy as we were stuck in traffic for hours.

Stayed in the main part of town this time which was a bit disappointing after our stay at Bellagio last time we were here. Not too bad though, found a friendly bar.

Did a 10K walk on Sunday then gave up when the temperature reached 39 degrees.

Spent the evenings in the main square and the Piazza in the old town.

    On now to Lake Garda..
