... the paella and we had to 'doggie-bag' the rest. The paella was certainly the best we've ever had. It was after 1800 when we returned from lunch and nobody felt like dinner.

Clive and Chris went out for a cycle today whilst the girls and William drove to Andratx for lunch, gelato and a quick look around.

Andratx is a sweet town with a small fishing harbour full of recreational boats and fishing trawlers. Whilst there for our late (Spanish-time) lunch, we also saw the trawlers returning with their day's catch. There is a small fresh fish market ...

It never rains in Mallorca (in Summer) ..... it pours! Well, at least it did in Calvia, at the farmhouse that Clive and Cathryn rented. It's a lovely farmhouse/villa with swimming pool and orchard with orange trees.

Chris and Clive ran a taxi service today - running the kids back and forth from Magalluf and Camp de Mar. The boys apartment was in Magalluf and Nikki ...

... who were relaxing by the pool. Cathryn put together a light lunch - bread, chicken, cold meats (including jamon and beef carpaccio), anchovies and cheese. Chris (finally) pulled out his tins of octopus and mussels that he had been carrying around since Morocco 2 months ago. It was getting quite warm after lunch. I can see why the Brits love to come to this place as it is very beautiful and it's reputation as a party place is probably unfair as it has a lot more to distinguish itself than that. It's relaxed for the most part except in the main streets and there are little bazaars and courtyards everywhere with the usual street vendors but no one pesters you greatly. The port area is very attractive with lots of palm trees lining the street and the marina is huge with some very very ...
