As a small compensation, however, here are a few photos of this beautiful island and beach for your enjoyment.
I did have the opportunity to sample one of the island’s culinary delights – pancakes with Nutella, white chocolate and marmalade. Verdict – very messy and not recommended.
About an hour after we arrived, the Thompsons arrived, and they too took to the water. You could easily spot the Aussies swimming, as they were the only ones with bathers on.
It has been a great day and we are looking forward to our next stop at Palmizarna, or Parmigiana as Dianne would say. She managed to confuse some poor lady back at the Marina when the lady asked her where she was going!
... It was straight up, up, up a long hill for about 8kms. I only just got up it on my ebike and many if the other riders ended up pushing their bikes up as it just wound up and up. The only good thing was the views along the way. Grant was the first rider up after the Electric 4, (the name the four of us electric bike riders have given ourselves), so he did really well, considering he'd stopped along the way to take photos as well.

... out with everyone only getting to have some if they got in the water and retrieved it from the head skippers' rib. Madness ensued but for the first time the water was actually a lot cooler in that little bay and so I wasn't in for very long - not that the punch really lasted that long with the millions of 24y/o Aussies that were around.

He pointed us in the direction of the ticket booth for the ferry (which we planned on catching the next day to Hvar) and once we had bought them it was almost time to hit the hay. We managed a bit of people watching along the promenade and were amazed at the amount of young people here. A real contrast to Zagreb and a party-vibe.
