... feeling of immense awe at the close interaction with such a very wild animal, and also immense shame. I don't care what your stance is on fishing; it's no fun having an animal suffer unnecessarily on your behalf. I don't know what method we'll come up with to prevent another bird-catching in the future, but I'm definitely going to do my best to keep future birds in the sky and not on our fishing hooks.

031710 @Sea: St. Pattie's Day. After a spicy BM, had to set clocks ahead one hour to Eastern Standard Time early this morning. Star Flyer had crossed 5 time zones in 32 days at sea! Sent in laundry again today. Went through 3 shirts yesterday due to spicy BMs. Many folks are preparing for end of 34-day voyage in 3 days.
