    ... but in older generations it’s quite clear. I can hear the Walloon in Mr. François French, but less with his son.

    We had a slice of pineapple upside-down cake and strong coffee as we talked and caught up on all our news. We also talked about the Feast of Tabernacles coming up and the challenges of getting there when one is older, and doesn’t have as much strength or stamina as before.

    ... is obviously designed to prevent the noise pollution disturbing the stock or crops - took us to the Grottes de Han near Rochefort.
    To cater for the large numbers of tourists we took a train ride to the cave entrance, except the "engine" was obviously a commercial truck chassis as it changed gears, but the rolling stock did clatter along rails.
    It took 75 minutes to walk through the caves which are similar to Waitomo, ...

    After checking the canal map to Dinant we discovered that there were 7 locks in about 25km, a great increase in rate to the last several days, in fact since we've been here. At about 30 minutes a lock under good circumstances and several hours in the worst, the time for this leg would be too much. So we changed plans to stay in Namur for 2 more days and to head off on the return journey north ...

    ... expensive. After I explain that I'm on a budget, I get free shower coins. When I put my tent, I get surrounded by children. They find it very funny that I sleep in this very little tent while it's so cold at night. I'm just getting the crack with these kids, they're good fun. I regret to say that I didn't take time to visit Bastogne really well. It's such a historic town but I wanted to push on. I'll definitely find some time in the future to come ...
