Social and Surrounded Salerno
... they must be hives - I suppose Im allergic to the detergent they use to wash the sheets here at the hostel. As a result of this I took precautionary measures for my second night in the hostel with evil sheets - I wore clothes covering my entire body and slept in a roommates sleeping bag liner.
Today was probably my favourite day yet in Europe (minus the hives).

... People are drinking a lot of water. And there is nowhere to go pee and furthermore, no sign warning of the total lack of facilities. So if you ever go, be warned. Use the washrooms at the entrance and be prepared for this very significant omission.
Tomorrow we plan to climb Mount Vesuvius. It is an active volcano, but it has not erupted since 1944. It should be OK, but if you do not hear from us a few weeks, maybe send a search party.
