... to say, we didn't swim for long! We had some nice cool melon during the morning and I also had a refreshingly cold beer. The afternoon comprised of writing a couple of missed journal entries and an amazing lunch. I went for pizza and Lisa had a Greek prawn dish. They were both very well made and tasty as anything. I think we have found a great restaurant here. After lunch we went for a short walk to the end of ...

... out, being right beside it. After seeing the other huts we could have stayed in, I was very happy with our shack! After getting settled we met Allison and Kayla on the beach where we laid there almost all afternoon. It's a coach bus, with a sign in the window of which area of the island the bus goes. So if you ...

... the farms to the port. Looking back over the main centre it became very evident that the town had been built to emulate Athens and the Acropolis in the way that it sits up on the hill and over looks the city. Naxos' main centre is obviously tiny compared to Athens but has a castle which sits at the top of a wee hill overlooking the buildings and the similarities are clear. We didn't really know where we wanted to go but eventually decided to set off around the ...

... trip only took 1/2 tank of petrol but it seems like we drove so much more than that. Our first stop outside of Naxos Town was to the Temple of Dionysus. He is the Greek god of theatre, wine harvest and wine making, and inebriation. He may have had too much wine the night before because this site was closed. As we found out later most places are closed Mondays; luckily this didn't affect us again. The next place we stopped at was at our first beach town. ...
