Day 10: Florence
We started the day with a major bummer: Bradley left for home bright and early, which makes me really sad. I miss him already and I'm jealous that he gets to see our pooch and smoosh his little Louie face. There are a ton of dogs in Europe, by the way, and people bring them everywhere with them. We have FaceTimed with Lou a couple times to make us (me) feel better... but I digress. Anyway, I miss my husband a lot. Today's drizzly, cold weather matched the gloominess of Bradley's ...

We watched tour bus after tour bus come in and dump people onto the piazza where they poured onto the tour boats for a trip OUT into ...

We timed our ascent with the sunset so when we reached the top we would have an excellent view of the sunset over the city. It was quite beautiful and the mood was increased by an Italian lady singing and playing the guitar. ...
Day 8 Rain in Florence
... demo we had free time to go and get lunch so myself, Julia and two others from our tour, Lauren and Fraser, all went to get some lunch. We found a little pizzeria near the duomo with yummy pizzas and a nice warm basement area to sit in. After lunch we headed back to the hostel via a gelataria for Lauren and then all hopped on the bus for the 4 hour drive to Rome. ...
