... As George had rehearsals, Pam and I ventured out to the outlying Venetian Islands on Tuesday. Purchasing a 24 hour ferry pass (€20), we managed to get ourselves to Burano, a beautiful spot with lacemaking and very brightly coloured houses. Our couple of hours wandering, photographing and sitting in the sun was wonderful. This morning we were booked for the Doge's Palace Secret Itinerary tour at 9:55 - our last guided tour of the trip. We were woke with plenty of time to spare.
