      Sitting in Leon from a new blog operations centre enjoying another decadent hot chocolate and a delicious pastry of some description...not sure what it's called but it's delicious :) Its now confirmed that Spanish hot chocolate consists of melted chocolate and that's it! Am yet to get used to complimentary snacks when I order a hot or cold drink...fantastic idea! With each glass of yesterday's vino tinto I received something delicious and today's hot chocolate ...

      ... we had food for the trail today.

      We got away at 7.30 which is a great start for us. We can do a quite a few kilometres in the first couple of hours and break the back of the day's travelling after 3 hours as we average about four and a half hours when we get into a rhythm.

      Today was the day that had us spooked as it involved a long walk of over 30km and a long, very steep climb to finish. We had decided not to go all the way to the top of the mountain ...

      ... food and drinks with a German friend and when I returned to get some clothes, my sleeping bag wasn't on my bed, someone else's stuff was there. After being robbed earlier in the day, I went a little overboard and was not happy that someone had moved my things.
