... to them and headed to the store. I bought my adapter and set out on the road. The way in Leon is marked very well. Between the yellow arrows painted everywhere and the brass scallop shells embedded in the sidewalk, it wasn't hard to follow. As I reached the edge of town, I pulled out my walking sticks. One of them was broken and I sat there awhile trying to fix it with no luck. A bicycler stopped to help, but he couldn't fix it ...

Passing through ...

... night from Taree.

We have a hotel for the next two days. We meet up with Hamish, Hedley's brother in law this evening. They share a room and I get a room to myself for two days. Check in was hilarious even though we didn't understand a word, the actions, gestures and voice tone made clear what was happening. The poor girl on reception had people checking in, checking out and an incessant phone she was answering the whole time and ...

... A common hot chocolate is called Cola Cao, pronounced "cola cow". It comes in an individual packet and is served with hot foamed milk - very delicious. Lunch: Lunch usually consists of a sandwich or "bocadillo" served on a sliced baguette. If we can find a supermercado we buy the ingredients and make them ourselves. If not, we will order a cold drink and a bocadillo from a bar. There are limited sandwich choices - typically ham or "jabon", ...
