... to them and headed to the store. I bought my adapter and set out on the road. The way in Leon is marked very well. Between the yellow arrows painted everywhere and the brass scallop shells embedded in the sidewalk, it wasn't hard to follow. As I reached the edge of town, I pulled out my walking sticks. One of them was broken and I sat there awhile trying to fix it with no luck. A bicycler stopped to help, but he couldn't fix it ...

    ... night from Taree.

We have a hotel for the next two days. We meet up with Hamish, Hedley's brother in law this evening. They share a room and I get a room to myself for two days. Check in was hilarious even though we didn't understand a word, the actions, gestures and voice tone made clear what was happening. The poor girl on reception had people checking in, checking out and an incessant phone she was answering the whole time and ...

... name of this area (or the valley). Tomorrow we go about 15 kms and Tuesday another 15 kms - breaking what would be a 30 km walk. The Tuesday walk is a huge ascent of about 800 metres, but we stay for 2 days at the village at the top and have some R and R with our kindles. It is a tiny place I believe, but a beautiful view if you are lucky enough to have good weather, and there are suns in the weather forecast for the next few days, so again we may be ...
