    ... there was an old computer in the corner of the bar and the bartender plugged it in for me and I was able to very, very slowly do some typing. D went to explore the town and was back in about 2 minutes. After today's climb, this was a good place to write and rest.

    Part of this journey is being recorded in a vast slurry of numbers facts and figures. I see it often in people around me and feel it in myself when I look at my watch as we pass a km indicator.

    ... So all in all a fun first day. I enjoyed the adventure and we are all just a little hot and sore ready for a bigger day tomorrow.
