... colours of the trees and the brilliant green of the grass was amazing.

E failed to get any lunch as we discovered that 11:11 is a bank holiday in France and everywhere was closed! So we arrived at the hotel at 5:00 pm and were starving! We checked in and the owner kindly provided us with pate and bread and a glass of red....perfect!

We skipped coffee and had an ice cream from the guy that recommended the restaurant to Stephne and then a circuitous walk back to the hotel where we're turning in for the evening.

Today was our last say with the bikes and the next chapter on our great trip starts tomorrow. Two days of travelling before hitting Central Aisa. Up and down to breakfast as early as permitted and we were on our bikes attempting the great climb of Mt Galibrier already at 8.30. Great ride again and not too hard even though when driving it later you wondered how we could have ridden up it! ...

          Exploring Annecy

Had a phone call from the kids at home - our missing luggage is still in
Sydney, and the airline wants to know what to do with it (no Julie,

it over here, we will be on the road to who knows where, it will be
playing catch-up until we get back home. Resigned to the fact we won't
see it until we return. oh well, gives us a reason to ...
