    ... our special parking spot to the village of Venosc which wasn't very far but scenic all along a fast flowing river. The village we had of course visited before. The bike riding has been absolutely 100% fantastic and it will be a truly treasured memory. Souvenir hunting in Bourg d'Oisans and after that up to Alpe d'Huez to return the bikes to Ollie.     ... after we'd walked around in a huge circle for about 30mins we finally found it and headed off for Annecy and found a terrific camp right on top of the mountain above the city, but as cold as charity.

    ... Cathars were a group of Christian people who were wiped out by the Roman Chatholic Church in the 13th century by a Crusade. We enjoyed eating at a medieval restaurant where we ate food from the 13th and 14th century. The kids loved eating everything with their hands including their salad and meat.     ... to the garden to do my last mowing of the lawn. Irmgard and I planted the rest of the flowers she had bought, so the garden was looking pretty good when I left. I met my friend Vicky (who works at ILO) for a juice in another outdoor cafe. Then it was back home for my going away dinner with Irgmard. We had ribs and salad and my favourite Swiss dessert: Meringue, yogurt and blueberries. Then it was last minute packing and up at 4 am to go to the airport.
