... at times, not a tacky touristy show. Thoroughly enjoyed the visit. Later in the afternoon took the ferry across to Russell. A very Colonial and peacefull little town. Had a drink in the Marlborough Hotel, sitting on the veranda overlooking the bay. This is the first licenced hotel in NZ. Serves good NZ beer.

The day started off with breakfast on the boat being cereals and porridge and fruit. Again they surprised me with their ummm hospitality I guess, as they had the almond milk ready and waiting for me and one of the other guys. Our first activity was snorkelling.
