    We got to fly together to Madrid where we gladly caught a shuttle to our hotel and slept soundly for 10 hours after 30 hours of traveling!

    after watching footy live in the morning on the lappy, we headed off pretty late. Both feeling buggered after bad sleeps, we decide on a short day to Beja. Another pretty drive through mountain country with spots of snow clinging to the peaks; we meander through tiny villages that look to resisting any pressure to develop yet find one with a bar having the best pintxos yet.     ... we seek them out. They've been great brekky when we can't buy any and a great snack/lunch when we don't pass anywhere and we hVe those +25km days! Then off to the Plaza Mayor which is a hive of activity after 5pm for Hierbos and coffee before hitting the sack and off in the morning.

    A little planning to do as we're going to try and rejig the distances for the next few days.
