Great expectations

... can buy it two times cheaper in 200 m. When we were in the shop, Eliza ( my daughter ) dropped a souvenir made of china. It wasn't expensive: it cost about 2,5 € but a shop assistant sold it us for 1 €. I'm not sure we'll take it home but she was so nice ;) If you wanna have a lunch in McDonalds, don't try to find it! There are no popular fast-food restaurants or cafés. And don't try to talk to locals - THEY ...

Why am I here?

So, I decided to spend 7 days in Spain. Actually, I visited Madrid and Salamanca about 9 months ago but, I didn't really like Madrid. As we rolled through Salamanca for the last time we got fantastic views of the cathedral across the river. It soon became clear that we were headed back into the mountains. We are following the 'Ruta de Plata' which is the Spanish equivalent to the A1 and as we headed south ...

After breakfast, a cup of tea/coffee and various pastries we got ourselves packed up, getting the tents down, stuff packed only took about 15 minutes but it took almost an hour to get the Land Rover packed and the roof load strapped down, we will have to try and improve on that! A long hot drive through the deserts of central Spain, at our first Police roadblock on the motorway ...
