Home of the Gods:Athens,Ios,&Santorini-Spring B II
I know that I have lagged about writing this blog and I apologize to anyone who may have been interested in my adventures to the Greek Isles.
I have learned about the history of Greece since I was a young kid playing age of mythology ( An awesome computer game), and ever since that time I have been fascinated with the place. I never …
Stuck in Santorini
When we went to check out this morning we were informed that our ferry to Kos was cancelled. With an extra day and the weather still miserable as ever we staged a protest and had a day in our villa organising our trip in places that will be sunny. We fired up the jug again for the chance to eat some blanched vegetables for dinner.
Too Cold for the Hot Springs
After a lot of deliberating we worked up the courage and decided to go on a boat trip, dispite the terrrible weather, out to the volcano to walk around the rim and swim in the magma heated water. After all this the boat trip ended up being cancelled which may have been a blessing in disguise to avoid hypothermia. With a day to fill we visited the …
Cold-ra View Trek
After our morning coffee made by George under Poppy's instruction we set off on a 15 kilometre walk along the caldera rim to Oia, a village on the island's nothern tip famous for its sunsets and blue dome roofed churches. We bought some fresh bread from the bakery and ate ham sandwiches on boulders protruding from the clear water ner the shore. We then …

TravelPod Member ReviewsVilla Manos Karterádhos
This place is somewhat deceiving and is not nearly as close to the water and you are led to believe, however, it was very nice and had good service. The shower is incredibly small but everything else was decent for the price.

Villa Manos is technically a hostel but by all accomodations is a high quality hotel. The hospitality of Poppy and her husband are top notch and make you feel so at home. After being picked up at the ferry port, they drove us into the city and gave us a glass of wine upon arrival. My room, for just 20 euros a night included a bathroom, a full bed, a tv and a balcony with a majestic ocean view. Poppy went out of her way to make me feel comfortable and at home. I'm sure that the next time I come to Santorini, I will definitely stay at Villa Manos
