There's a moment when 3 of your best friends fly halfway around the world to celebrate your birthday that you realize how lucky you are. When that moment happens on a golf course in the Seychelles....well, it's extra special.

Our small group originally decided to go to the Seychelles back in August 2014, before I even moved abroad. We knew it was a premier dive location but that was the extent of our knowledge. Given only 1 of the 4 was, at the time, certified, it wasn't much ...

We were afforded the opportunity to stay in our cottage until 12:00. The sun was bright and the sea was calm, we kayaked out to the reef. We spent a bit too much time snorkeling and almost got caught with the water being too shallow for us to make it back to shore without damaging the coral. I swam back and nearly scraped my hands.

... The trunk doesn’t grow for the first 15 years. It has a basket shaped set of roots so that it kind of circles in a high wind rather than sways back and forth like, say, a coconut palm. The fruit grows in a husk, like a coconut, and can weigh something like 20 kgs. Needless to say, don’t get hit by one falling, but it takes several years for the fruit to grow and get ready to drop. The male ...

Day 7. date unknown, and quite honestly don't care. Well it is Sunday so very little happening as most of locals have taken the day off. Not us however, we have a full day planned. Surprise, surprise we started our day off with a small breakfast of croissants and coffee as we had booked our creole buffet at Kevin's restaurant which we previously mentioned. We ate early and took a water taxi with a very strict "kapitano" who shouted " you in now, you wait, you sit here etc". A ...
