... I had read lots about this place and the Full Moon parties. While we would not be there for a full moon we still had to stop. Gotta say I was a bit let down. Kind of a dump of a place. What they called a bathroom did not even have a door that would close. I love a good dive bar but the only thing worth returning here for is the sunset. One of the best of my life. St. John and the British Virgin Islands spill across the water as far as you can see. We got up there late in the day and it was getting a little hazy but the islands were still visible. Below us was Magan's Bay as several powerboat and sailboats made their way in to moor for the night.

... There are a few high-end resorts on remote corners of this little paradise, but a shortage of quality mid-range hotels with enough rooms for a group. Conversations with locals leaves one feeling they don’t mind if you come to the island, but they also don’t mind if you decide not to come.

We hung around Road Town, the capital on the island of Tortola, ...
