    ... much nicer accommodation than the rooms that we had in Paris. The grounds have 350 camping sites and 150 cabins on site so are quite big. In the hight of summer they have approx 2000 people here at once. There is a restaurant, 2 bars, 3 tennis courts, a basketball court, a swimming pool, kids programmes, the river and lots more activities. We went for a walk ...

    Had a better sleep last night and a very nice breakfast of crusty buns, baguette and croissants with cheese and ham, fruit, yogurt and coffee. We ate in the solarium with the koi. Again beautiful China and presentation. Unfortunately Onez has severe leg pain this morning so we are going back to Balen instead of exploring more..it is still ...

    ... an older hotel that has an inner tropical greenhouse with huge Koi in the pond and huge tropical plants. The rooms are a bit dated but it's right in the country with rolling hills and horses across the pond and meadow. We had a fantastic prix fixe dinner of scallops, duck, veggies and chocolate mousse with very nice Alsatian white wine. Too much but yummy. The dinner service was impeccable and the China and crystal was very elegant. A very nice evening for Easter ...

    ... museums. They had things from both sides including actual uniforms worn by German and American Generals. The full sized tank was really cool as was the 3D movie of all the events leading up to the Bulge. Since I had my eye on something else later that day, I sort of rushed through the museum to move on to the highlight of the day.....finding the foxholes out in the Ardennes!
