We left Liege this morning at 10:30 and made excellent time through two locks and 35 km to Huy. On the way the beautiful Belgian scenery was spoiled by derelict industrial facilities beside the river-- very unimpressive for about 20km of the whole trip. We did take some photos along the way to point out how really different this country is to the one we've just ...

We decide to take up a position in the town of Ohey, at the top of a small rise, and with cafes and activities around. There are people riding stationary bikes, stalls for rail trails (Ravels), a couple who run museums, beer and food etc. we stop and chat with the ravel folk, who ...

... so was sure I'd be able to find the right lanes. We stood on deck and waved goodbye to good old blighty for 3 months ( well sort of but that a story for later). Below deck Peter annoyingly purchased himself a beer whilst I had to suffice with bottled water. !! Despite the early storm the crossing was like a millpond. Time flew and we were soon heading back to Herman and the onward journey. Off with no problems and en route to Rochforte. Snoopy the sat nav working ...
