    ... you about my favourite restaurant to date in Thailand. The kitchen was in two halves, the cooking part out towards the main thoroughfare and the washing areas to the rear. The washing area was a simple bench out the back under a straw roof where a large pink bucket was used to clean the plates.     ... about things that really aren't that bad, and on this occasion, I had my fun with him. I spent the night pulling this face :( and saying in a poor me voice 'yeah, but I probably don't deserve anything anyway' and saying 'don't worry, I will really enjoy seeing you open your presents and how much you like them because they are so thoughtful'.     ... it! Ah, the agony!

    But, it was silly, really. We’d had an amazing trip, and two amazing dives. We wanted nothing more than to see a whale shark, and it happened, but not in the way we’d expected – and it was almost enough to ruin it for us. It may not have been what we expected, but it was a once-in-a-lifetime moment nonetheless. In the future, we vowed to focus less on how things are supposed to happen, and more on appreciating them for what they are.

    ... up and down that strip for approx. 2 hours trying to find our hotel. Nobody had heard of it. Nobody knew where it was. Our backs were breaking, we were hungry, tired, sweaty but determined. We reached the other end of the strip, where it trailed off into darkness and gave up.     ... the language being used. I'm not very good at it but I think by the end of the trip I'll be a pro. I know I have come across Italian, German, Dutch, Australian, South American, Chinese, French and British people. And today I was asked if I was Russian by an older gentleman.
