... excited for the elephant park and it was amazing. Not only are they 10x bigger than anything I've ever seen, but they're so strange. Their skin is dry yet rubbery, they have tons of spiky hair on their head and some on their trunks.

After only 4 hours in bed the ride started.

Mount Batur is a still active Volcano of about 1700m above sea level, and is one of the holy mountains in Bali. Its last eruption was in 2000, and as we climbed up we could feel volcanic gas in one place, and see smoke in one of the older craters from the eruption1967.

... back to Bali. The transport required a full day, one car, a ferry, and a van. This brought us to a port town in Bali called Sanur. We arrived around 8pm and found a place to sleep and a bite to eat and then went to bed. We woke up early to catch the slow public boat to Nusa Lembongan at 8am. ... Ganesha statues, since we were staying in Casa Ganesha. Kyle and I were given the upstairs room, of course, but the Burtons were below us and had an open air shower...interesting in concept, but I'm not sure that was for me.
