The trip to the island is almost 4-5 hours of land and sea travels. It's really tiring but once you see the shore of Subic, you will just get stoked and get very excited to roll on its cream to brownish sand.

There are two beaches in Subic island: Subic Saday (small) amd Subic Dako (large). Our boatman suggested for us to stay in the small beach since the large one is already populated. Here is a view of ...

Until 1998 the place was just a quiet little fishing village but then a local diver shot a video of the whale sharks which was then written about by a newspaper and tourists have been flocking here ever since (although there are only a handful of guests at my hotel). ... deal. Donsol Bay is pretty busy but we were lucky enough to find a hotel with cheap dorm rooms. A bit of clever interrogation revealed that there were very few people staying so we managed to get a whole dorm room to ourselves for two nights in a lovely hotel on the beach with a great pool where we met the delightful Alex and Kate from Canada. They had only just begun their travels so we traded advice, had some beers and learned the awesome Israeli card game 'Ya ...

Malinao is about 1 1/2 north of Legaspi; about 7km north of Tabacco. Really clean town that revolves around church. Saw where Linda's dad is buried; beautiful bronse plaque with WWIi veteren on it, now recently moved to the local church. Spent the night; saw where the fllood two years ago rose 4 foot inside their house. Church bells start at 5:30am every day (yes, you must attend church everyday), ; don't ...

... English (third biggest english speaking country) and shout 'hey joe' (g.i joe) to any whitey assuming they're American! They act like they don't see too many westerners as there's lots of starebears, but I don't mind as they're friendly and like any kind of interaction. Compared to other countries, Accomodation is a bit more expensive but food and drinks are cheaper. Their local beer san miguel is 30p, coke 10p. The food reminds me a lot of indo food (although indo is ...
