... Michelangelo, which is on the top of a hill and overlooks the entirety of Florence across the river. My God, was it beautiful. Day 9: Florence
... rest of the group and all went into Santa Maria Novella, which was unbelievable. A 13-century church built on a 10-century cemetery and site, it housed original paintings on which Michelangelo worked, and stained glass windows, frescos, sculptures and tombs from the 11-16 centuries. Clean rooms and good shopping
... did. 2 reasons I booked this hotel was AC and wifi. Turns out AC is turned off for the year, and wifi you have to stand in very certain areas of the room for it to work. Big bummer.
