Today we left our hotel at a more reasonable hour and drove through the countryside to Carmignano and arrived at the Capezzana Wine Estate. It is a noble wine estate known for its red wine and vin santo, the sweet dessert wine of Italy. The family-owned estate and winery is still run by several members of the Bonacossi Family. The grandmother Lissa (age 91) lives in the villa on the property, and her sons and daughters have various roles ...

I overruled Yalini on this after seeing it in the cabinet; she was in favour of Torta Della Nonna (cake like Grandma makes) but we will have a chance to try that soon, as on the way out the door we make a booking to come back on Monday night! From there it's a short walk home and off to bed. Tomorrow we are planning a train trip to nearby Lucca, but at our own ...

... However, if you ask for "take away" or "stand" its only 1 euro! In addition, she taught us how to order food from the market. We did some exploring until our cooking class. The cooking class was so much fun! The people that were running it were hilarious, they kept teasing me because I was trying to keep the area clean and kept washing the utensils. After we made homemade pasta and tiramisu, we went downstairs to a wine cellar and had dinner with other members in API. ...
