Last day and Chrissi packs while I run up town to do a few last minute things ...i walk her to the bus to farewell my fello traveller ...she's off to Barcelona ...then Paris ...go girl !! Then... It's just me ...I cruise the streets of Juan Les Pins for one last time before I leave tomorrow ...lunch could be in order ...oh duck breast ...gotta say ...big ducks ...
... It was lovely chilling out reading a book and having calypso ice lollies :) at about 5pm we headed home we stopped at a local market to get something for dinner- the guy didn't accept any cards only cash and after having ice lollies we had about €12 to get some food... Si chose the beer first (priorities) which left us with about €7.. I got some salad, sausages and a melon.. Looks like pesto pasta, ...
... for the pizzas. No complaints about the dinner though, both of us were well fed and we finished off the rest of the beer in the fridge. That definitely means we need to do a shop tomorrow so we can keep fully watered... Then it was time or bed, it's gonna be a hot night, it's about 11pm and 24 degrees outside much hotter than that in the van, fingers crossed for a good nights sleep but I'm not convinced it's going to happen, we definitely need a pop top!! ...
Looks like we will hike today. Hannah's blister is bandaged and let's hope for the best. Breakfast was standard. Yogurt and bread, bread, and more bread! I have never eaten so much bread in my life! The best part of breakfast was "Doudou" the cat. He belongs to no one, but Sylvie, the hotel owner, put a collar on him and several people feed him. He looks healthy and happy and is very cuddly. Highlight of my stay here! Our host was very nice but a bit high strung. However, it warmed ...
