... We had about an hour for free time before needing to meet up with our coach to return to Florence. We used this to grab a bite to eat, (and a beer) wander the tacky souvenir stalls and take the obligatory Tower Photos! (Holding it up, and pushing it over!!). On the way back to the bus, some very persistent African hawkers were trying to sell to anyone who made eye contact with them, anything from umbrellas, sunglasses or genuine fake Prada bags!!!! ... a soup, a pasta, and a meat course that was nearly impossible to eat all of. The second night was just and antipasto, pasta dish, and salad... it took much less time. The third night we just had pizza.

Sunday night when we got back it was still down pouring and we basically sprinted back from the train station. Florence was a beautiful city and a great way to start off the weekend excursions.

... late so we jumped in a cab and arrived 10mins later. The hosts, Silvia and Francesco were amazing. They welcomed us with a tour of our amazing apartment then took us on a tour of the complex and the surrounding streets. ... and found our hotel, meandering through narrow streets and over small bridges. We have just checked in. Apparently Venice is beautiful by night, but it's raining at the moment so there wont be many stars out. No photos of Venice yet, will take some tonight and tomorrow. Now its time to find somewhere to eat, its 8pm.

P.S We are slowly getting used to all the Bells ringing
