    Flew Fiji airlines from Nadi to Los Angeles (9045km) taking 9 hour 45 minutes, hour faster than expected because of 200 kph tailwinds. Longest flight I've ever done. All good, took last of eds Thailand sleeping pills so we slept for 3/4 of it. LA is 19 hours behind in time so technically we've actually landed before 5 hours before we set off because of crossing the international date line taking us back 24 hours in time. We visited open dig sites where palaeontologists are still discovering mammals that were trapped in the tar. Some of these include: mammoths, dire wolves and huge sloths.     ... were people way bigger/older etc. than me - if they could do it, so could I! The race was rough, physically and mentally. The first few miles were fine, but then my knees buckled, big time.
