    ... not have a huge harbour for visiting tourist ships. This meant it was not busy with tourists.
    - A small village ( another) with a small harbour and a lovely ambience ( again ).
    - Sandy Beach in Bol. It looked lovely from the Futura but the Croatian definition of sand is different to our Kiwi definition!

    ... happened to be in Bol to celebrate Croatia's independence day. The hostel owners have a boat, so we went to watch the fireworks from the harbour. It was really nice. We also tried some of the local street food which consisted of some nice sea food dishes.

    ... into great detail to give us a perspective of the Diocletian's time as Emperor. Diocletian's Palace is a Unesco site and what is unique about this is it is the only Unesco site where people actually live in it. However, as she later explains, this is problematic for the owners & residents, because if anything is taken or destroyed in any way, the fines are very high; so high in fact is that the family will likely pay them for many many generations to come.

    ... on it's way down but I have at least four, maybe four-and-a-half good hours of light left - Dubrovnik's no more than sixty minutes away, at most. It's summer - everyone's locked on the highway anyhow. And, being Sunday, locals are probably veering back to the city after a debaucherous weekend up the coast.

    ... We spent the whole afternoon swimming and lounging around the pools. The resort has three pools, two indoor ones which were great during the absolute heat of the afternoon after lunch and then we migrated outside to the main pool. We all had a great time,
