    ... here for decorative plaster work. Did see some solar panels. There was little litter. A couple of homes had chili peppers hanging to ward off evil spirits.

    Either there are no newspapers, people can't afford them or perhaps just by tradition death notices were stapled to telephone poles. Most of the homes had either a garden or flowers in the front, some both. Many homes had a stack of wood against a wall. Bikes and scooters outnumbered motor vehicles.

    After spending a mere four nights in Albania, we were on the move again. To the east of Albania lies another small country named Macedonia. We were interested in going to one town in particular, Ohrid. Getting to Ohrid would be a bit of fun, but not as much fun as leaving (more on that later). We had to take 2 vans, and two taxis! Thankfully, along the way we experienced how hospitable and friendly eastern Europeans can be.
