... It's possible to live very comfortably here on the island on $300.00 US per month.
The climate is incomparable with an average temperature of 26 Celcius and the sun shines 340 days of the year. I'm where I'm supposed to be.....this much I know!
The pictures are of the sunrise from the penthouse condo where I'm staying temporarily. Does it get more ...

Research on the ferry website reveals I am unable to get a
boat to Cumana, my preferred destination, until Sunday – thought it was low
season here but apparently not until the end of the month and this place was

      ... only a 10-15min walk.

It’s in a good location, 10 seconds to the sea and the
upstairs walkway to the rooms has sea views. The genial host sorted a 400bsf
room for me and while I was waiting, did a reccie around town looking for
useful landmarks to get my bearings i.e. the nearest cheap beer shop – you do
have to shop around otherwise you’re paying 15bsf for ***** lite beer when you
      could be ...

... beach bordering the lagoon was dirty & glass strewn, then
there were several more baylets to cross, each with its own challenges, be they
being built up to the waters edge, guarded by vicious dogs, with mucky creeks
to cross or weed strewn with pockets of very soft (but not quite quick!) sand.
The beach proper though was well maintained, the water reasonably clear, with
even a few fish visible when swimming!

Enjoyed sampling a couple of the local beers ...
