Burnt Heads, Buddha's and Big Bangs

... was filthy, but was in itself, an experience. After lunch in Na Thong, we briefly visited the Tree Top Fire Fox and "The Cliff Restaurant", and after driving through more windy, we returned to the Amari at about quarter to five. We then had dinner at a restaurant with a name I can't remember, where I enjoyed a fairly tasty chicken "Gordon bleu", before we returned to the hotel and went to bed, with a far more relaxing SOYA day to look forward to tomorrow.

... a few times - still needed to get the legs ready for our Vietnam tour which was to include a bit of biking and hiking - hard to resist when the view is a rain forest and waterfall rather than a mirror or a concrete wall! That was a great way to exercise!
We also indulged in some more body softening - scrub and massage time - and again the view to recover was a stunner as was the herbal tea - Roselle I think it was. Delicious.

... show-girl costume, which was cool. It was 'free' but drinks were $10 each. Totally worth it! Well, the show was worth it, Charles' drink was terrible. It was essentially a lip synch show with some dancing but a few of the acts were laugh out loud funny. Sorry, no pics of this either as we didn't have the camera with us when we went.

... a nice family in a pick up truck stopped and gave us a lift as far as they could. This was really helpful even if it was only a short way and it also gave us a taste of the warm Thai hospitality we have read about. After the quick ride from them, we were back walking and getting wet again. I didn't mind the water, but my feet were starting to get really uncomfortable in the flip flops. One of the last big dumpings of water we got was freezing ...

... ready. We met the group from the night before and Stacey and Craig and went and grabbed some food at the hostel. We then got given loads of neon/uv paint which we covered ourselves in. Then we went to the hostels shop and bought our buckets and sat on a table outside the shop and got drunk. At 12 we decided to walk to the beach....I have never seen so many people!
