Relaxed morning, went downstairs for breakfast at 8.30am, the restaurant was cafe style, blue tablecloths, lace dollies and yellow flowers - really cute.

... We did a bit of shopping in a supermarket (Swiss chocolate!) and came back and cooked tea. I did a special dinner of chicken stuffed with garlic and gruyere and rapped in prosciutto ham before being cooked on the BBQ griddle, followed by beef stir fry in wraps. I was so cold inside I thought I wouldn't be able to cope outside, but it felt quite warm. The kids had so much fun (mainly chucking snowballs) until they realised that snow is wet and very very cold. I think it was 5 minutes of bliss and 5 of whinging. Brendon and I both ...

... and to read our books whilst taking in the idyllic town in the middle of the Swiss Alps.

As the afternoon went on the light fog slowly became clouds covering the amazing view of the mountains from the ground and bring a light drizzle. We took this as the sign to leave the pool and go and explore the town and get our free gift. Visitors to Interlaken get a tourist card (or well at least we did from our hostel) which gave us a discount on the funicular up the closest ...
