... nice to sit in the church and look at the mosaics, thinking that it has been there since Norman times. The priest raved on a bit, and I couldn't understand half of what he said, but it was about the Ten Commandments, and having the Holy Spirit in your heart. Think he liked the sound of his own voice - he was a pretty good singer.

Buon giorno! Good morning! Yesterday our plans to visit the aeolian islands didn't work out so we visited the coastal town of Cefalú instead and hoping to see the islands tomorrow. Cefalú is about an hour drive from where we are at in Furnari. We take the autostrada, the super fast highway, with beautiful views of the mountain on one side and the sea view on the other.
