Well, after a delightful breakfast alfresco to start the day, off in the car with our faithful Tom Tom navigating our way to Siena. Beautiful day and scenery, this part of Italy is stunning. Although we were only 35 kms from Siena, because we are in the middle of nowhere, it took over an hour to get there. ... If anything, I liked the statues. The workmanship that goes into those is incredible.

After about 90 minutes in Uffizi we headed out and down towards Palazzo Pitti. We walked over the Ponte Vecchio. That is amazing. The Rialto bridge in Venice was amazing how it had shops all lined on it, but the Ponte Vecchio is a residence for numerous people. It’s fascinating! There are shops as well. Mainly expensive jewellery shops actually, which was interesting.
