... of a day it was outside).
After spending a good amount of time enjoying the view, we headed back down toward the river, winding our way down little stairs and hills, until we were next to the Ponte Vecchio. At this point, Steve broke off again to find a place to eat, while the girls strolled in and out of shops just taking in the scenery. Later, we met up with Steve and headed back to the hostel for the night in preparation of the big day ahead.
... Cranberry Sauce, Stuffing, Potatoes, and Mixed Vegetables. For dessert pumpkin pie, ice cream, and apple cider! It was nice to spend the night with classmates and a few professors.
Friday night, we had yet another Thanksgiving with all of my friends. Everyone prepared their favorite dish and we spent the night telling stories of our families Thanksgivings.

... life time on this trip already!
Climbed the tower in the main piazza, saw an enormously large pizza and had wild boar sausages for lunch which were a bit gamey but nice.
Went for drinks at Lochness bar and ended up drinking long islands as there wasn't much in the way of wine or beer there.
Hi Everyone!
After an exhausting weekend in Brussels, I was in for yet another treat with cooking classes in Florence. Organized by my school, a group of us met with a chef for some lessons.
We were taught how to prepare typical Tuscan cuisine including Ribollita and Stuffed zucchini-flowers.
Everything was delicious & I look forward to trying these recipes at home!

... Rossi was her husband. Then I realized that this old lady was the wife of a bicycling legend and the frame on the wall was one of the frames from his hay-day.
We moved onto shopping and grabbing pizza for lunch then on to the piazza Campos. Here we looked around until it was time to go to St. Dominics Church for the start of a walking tour. The tour guide gave us interesting history about Siena, its churches, and its customs. We ended up at the Duomo which was incredible ...
... Afterwards we went back to this square that we had seen an orchestra setting up in and when we got there they were playing. They had an orchestra and some brass instruments as well and they performed a nice little concert. They were a group from Germany that must have just been traveling from town to town. We really enjoyed the music and my mom got a nice little nap. We felt really lucky ...
San Gimignano, Tuscany, Italy peter148... are some of the immigrants from Northern Africa. The Italian shop owners might try to get you to come inside and buy something but if they didn't how would they make any money? Anyways, I walked past San Lorenzo and the Mercato Centrale to attempt to find Oviesse, in the Coin family but a little cheaper. I finally found it on Via Nazionale, not what I was expecting; first I couldn't see any sales people and it seemed like I was the only female on this/that floor ...

Florence, Italy dmm8... works that you just can't take your eyes off, they're that beautiful or fascinating. Having spent the better part of the afternoon at the Uffizi, I headed back towards the train station. On the way, I passed by the Duomo. As usual, it's very large and very ornate on the outside. I didn't go in this one because it's not supposed to be so impressive inside, and after Siena's it would probably be a let down. I wandered up past the Medici Chapels and back through the ...
