The long & twisty slippery road

... today it just was not the same. Just as I said earlier, am I getting bored with great scenery or is it simply the weather.

I did stop on a number of occasions for photos but the light was not good.

The speed on this road is not fast as one can imagine and it passes through a number of small towns to which many of them have wonderful little stone piers built out of natural stone which look really beautiful.

... but hey it was spacious and clean. The young chap that checked us in gave us a map and directions into the old town. We settled into our room and then headed out to find some food, we were starving! The old town was only about a 5 minute walk away and we found it easily. Sunday 21st Sept Pula - Rovinj We had a late night as we did our washing in the shower and sink because we had a towel warmer to dry our clothes on . ( this practise is shunned upon so we have to dry overnight ) Breakfast was at 10.30 , I don't how we fell into this trap of late starts and late evenings but it sure shortens your day . ... Garry's still enjoying them for now . We met up with a group of Americans ( x 4) we met early this morning at Hum , Garry amused them with his snakes stories much to their horror! We had another wonderful meal tonight featuring local seafood which included sardines ,scampi,squid ,octopus ,oysters and maybe just a little too much wine ?. Krk Island is the largest of the Adriatic islands, with an area of 409 sq km. To get here you have to go through a paid bridge that links the island to the mainland. And after the bridge stop and admire the most beautiful view of crystal-clear water, mountains, and majestic nature.
