... loves riding the bus. I think it's the big windows that give him a bigger vantage than normal. He was glued to the window taking in the sights and calling out the vehicles he spotted. Initially I was disappointed having to add a bus ride to the itinerary, but since we opted not to drive it was the only way up. However, I too enjoyed the ride as it allowed the opportunity to see the lovely towns and beautiful crimson and gold mountainsides. Thirty minutes later we exited ...

... to figure out how to order drinks. Much to our surprise, the basic drink was included. I nabbed some curry and it was so good! They realised they had overcharged us and the young supervisor came over and gave a refund. So honest, as we did not even know we had been overcharged.

Back into Tokyo before the end of the day crowds and checked out the Harajuku area and the kids all dressed up ...

... trip is up. Once breakfast was done we packed up what was left in our room and headed to the subway. We needed to catch a train a bit further away so it was a bit more of a walk through Ginza going against the flow of businessmen in suits heading to work. We managed to get on the right train and headed to Shinagawa station which is one of two bullet train stations in Tokyo. The bullet train ride was only about 25 minutes before we got to the nearest station to Hakone ...
