... loud noise start outside ... sounds like stones landing on the roof of the store. Turns out to be rain, sunshine turned into a torrential downpour in a matter of a couple of hours. It's now really dark outside, raining really hard and it's rush hour (yes, they have one). Takes us 1 terrifying hour to travel which originally took us 20 minutes.

Once the nerves had settled down, we ventured out for dinner ... a proper Pad Thai is in order ...

... immediately warned about turning right out of the guesthouse..."you go right, you find ladyboys". We were warned, but also that was where the bars and food resided, we really did have no choice!! ... a bit!

On Friday it was my birthday and I woke up to lots of presents and cards from family. Had a lovely day, Andrew put balloons around the bedroom and tried to make me breakfast in bed but all he could find was coffee with that powered milk stuff that curdles so he took me out for breakfast instead!
