... 3.40 train to Milan. This is our last train of interrailing:( Can't say it's our favourite though, in fact it's probably the worst. The air conditioning consists of windows and the leather seats are not the nicest to sit on in the sweltering heat. Lucy thinks she is going to die, or she did until she fell asleep anyway. ... traditional method, it took much much longer. To make the wait seem shorter a man and his son performed in a little band. The boy was playing the violin impressively well for his age according to Emma. After 2 hours Katie was so hungry she was eating dried bits of uncooked pasta off the table. And the relief when Emma scooped a huge pile of pasta onto her plate was evident. The pasta was really yummy and free (!), still not sure it was worth the 2 hour wait ...

... I decided to purchase my ticket for the opera and then my first seafood since our first night in Greece. As for the opera, what can I say. Fantastico! Stupendo!! You get the idea. Very unusual set design and a beautiful ballet to begin with the overture. Even understood some of the Italian and a spectacular ending with fireworks.
